A Few Words About Us

Saptasajya Agro Producer Company Limited (SAPCL) is a Dhenkanal-based Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) established on February 13, 2018. Operating under the Companies Act, SAPCL was founded to drive income growth for local producers through collective bargaining and shared resources. By consolidating the efforts of small and marginal farmers, the organization overcomes the inherent barriers of small-scale agriculture. Today, SAPCL is supported by 623 active shareholders and extends its impact to a network of over 3,000 farmers.

Some of our work

SAPCL envisions a future where the production capacity and financial well-being of its member farmers are significantly enhanced. They aim to achieve this by fostering strong community integration among producers, ensuring financial inclusion for all, and championing technological advancement in agricultural practices. Through these interconnected pillars, SAPCL strives for the holistic development of the company and the sustainable prosperity of the farming community.

The FPO cultivates diverse crops including paddy, vegetables, pulses, fruits, cashew, and oilseeds, and focuses on aggregation, procurement, grading, marketing, and value addition to enhance farmer incomes by removing intermediaries and building direct market linkages.

SAPCL has evolved from local mandi trading to becoming a recognized export-oriented enterprise under institutional support from the Directorate of Horticulture (PSFPO), Directorate of Soil Conservation and Watershed Development(REWARD) Funded by World Bank, and Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare. Its business activities include post-harvest management, millet-based products, mango processing, and fresh produce exports.

The FPO exports fresh produce to international destinations like Dubai, London, Italy, Ireland, Belgium, France, and Birmingham. The export basket included premium Amrapali & Dusheri mangoes, mixed vegetables, and exotic fruits such as dragon fruit, Colocasia, custard apple, wood apple, ice apple, and raw jackfruit.
